I'm watching a livestream where a member(I think it is)play our new game Destroyer the U-boat Hunter, when I came to think of Helicopter being a part of a destroyer.

My question

When became these two object so to say one unit. When became helicopters a part of a destroyer or frigate ?

The first Sikorsky R-4 naval helicopter was inducted in 1943. Thereafter, it began the trials for ‘evaluation of the ship-based helicopter in antisubmarine warfare. In the anti-submarine role it was thought that once the sonar of a destroyer detected a submarine the helicopter would be guided to the submarines location and would drop a MK IX 200-pound depth charge, thereafter, it would be replenished from the destroyer.

I have tried EVERYTHING to be able to play SHIII on my WIN10 computers-Without luck.

I can play SHII on my former laptop-Altso WIN10.

On this I use now I can play SHIV and SHV-I really don't like these two.

I have been thinking about getting SHIII via steam. I have this fear I would run into same problem.

no offense intended but that doesn't make sense.
SH4 and SH5 are much more temperamental on Win10 than SH3.
and you have SH3 on DVD and you have installed it in a folder other than the Windows folders?

BTW, you should be posting this one of the SH3 forums. you will probably get much more expert help there.
