Getting ready to start building this

It's the Arkmodel 1/48 scale Type VIIC RC U-boat. Overall length of the model is 1.4 meters (55") =)

I have the kit on order as well as a Watertight Cylinder ballast and drive system from Nautilus Drydocks.

I expect to be starting on it in a month or so. I'll post updates on my progress here.

Thank you for posting those pictures. I checked out the Arkmodel website and looked at their detailed pictures. The VIIC looks incredible. Such great detail.


I can't wait to see updates. I would love to try some submarine model building.
