I'm searching the web for information about colour and especially the colour they used on this Tiger tank in Tunisia 1942.

It's somehow yellow in colour.

MarkusIt's called Sand Yellow. or Sandgelb. The number designation is RLM 79. Vallejo and AK Interactive make it. Tamiya has a version they call Yellow Brown. Vallejo and AK Interactive have Afrika Corps paint sets.

Have fun with that beast. Does it come with ammo?

No ammo included in the parts.

However there is companies who makes extra parts to models.

On my shelf I have a Tamiya M1A2 Abrams mbt 1/35 scale. Pre painted as they looked like in second Iraqi war.

This 1/16 Tiger tank will be the first 1/16 I build and it will also be the first Axis model I'm doing.
It has always been in scale 1/35-Modern or WWII Allied.

Aha it's not only the paint I need I also need special tools.

The head of the screws is very tiny and my precisions screwdrivers I have is a little to big.

So I need smaller-Wonder where I can get this, 'cause I don't know what they are called.

I guess I need tools who is made for watches and wall clocks

Plenty of model tool sets available online but the better ones tend to be expensive.

I manage to find a even smaller screwdriver-Fits a little better, but not perfect.

Have made first two wheel.

You're looking for precision screw drivers. :yep:

Try to get a whole set, phillips, flat blades, small hex drivers, etc. in various sizes.
Sets tend to be less expansive, although you pay for what you get in terms of quality. You could order a set on line, but try looking in some "big box" stores and "national chain stores" and you may be surprised. :)

A good set will last you a lifetime and they are considered de rigueur as you get into more advanced types of models.

That's going to be over-priced (and really not what you want).
Let me do some digging and I'll post some links of what I find. :yep:

Here's a basic set I found on Amazon. This set will set you back about 12 US dollars.

https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81YINEx7VtL._AC_SX466_.jpg

A good range of sizes and types and you don't really want the type with a separate handle and head tips. They tend to get wobbly when you need it least.

Here's a nice set in the 20 dollar US range:

https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61GV9icJ5YS._AC_SX466_.jpg

The handles are shorter (which is something you want) although you have to "lock" the tips into the handles with a set screw.

Here's a good "bargain" set at 7 dollars US. Don't sneeze at this set. Its really good for what it is. Short handles and a nice selection of blade sizes. :D

Like I said, try to find a set locally before you go online. :yep:

I have the last set the 6 Piece precision screwdriver set. And the smallest of them the 1.4 mm is too wide.

I thinking of sanding of 0.2 mm if it's possible.

There's many type of screws I shall use and 54 of them are very small and it's here my smallest precision screwdriver is too wide-around 0.2 mm

Thanks for providing links to help me.

Edit
I found a set of 11 precision screwdriver-The smallest flat blades 1.0 mm then 1.2 mm and up to
4 mm.

That second set I posted is making me go :hmmm: .

I have a good set from back in my Tech days and I need more screw drivers like I need another hole in my head.

Still, :hmmm: .

I finished building the tank late night this day.

I haven't painted the model-It's one of my Achilles heel.

I have placed one of my 1/35 tank in front of this monstrous German WWII tank.

I honestly prefer the 1/35 example because that is what I've always built in the past.

I have an old dinning table as my work bench and while I was building she was sitting beside on the table and watched..well more likely to see if there was some part she can run away with.

Which has happened before.

She didn't do this-Sitting on the table all the time.

My next project is Revell's Firebird Pontiac Trans AM 1/8 scale.

This model is within my price range-
I would if I could afford it, buy the Titanic Scale 1:200. Trumpeters

the Titanic Scale 1:200.

I've heard there are issues with the shape of the hull. :hmmm:

I've heard there are issues with the shape of the hull. :hmmm:

This was also new to me..Have seen a lot of video clip on yt, where people share parts of their build.

What I know so far about the hull is that there isn't any portlights(I think you call them these round windows on a ship)

In almost every video I've seen they start with drilling holes en mass in the hull.

Edit
I have built HMS Hood in scale 1:200
Wouldn't it be perfect to have the Bismarck beside Hood, in same scale ?
That is what I have been thinking-Bismarck or Titanic

I just saw this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3RnsX0ookZs

I'm not so sure about the metal doors and 1/12th scale is a little too large for my surroundings but..

PS- Make sure you turn on subtitles.

Wow, very impressive Tiger in 1/16 scale. Did it fit together well, was it a nice kit? It's a giant against the 1/35 tank.

It was a pleasure to build the model-Only disadvantage was that I didn't have the correct screwdriver to some of the small screws-I did manage to get them tighten though.

I only wish I had same skills in painting than I have in model building.

So I recommend Hobby Boss, even though there was a lack of painting informations.
