Good evening to the Silent Services. I say "been there" because of the wealth of knowledge consumed since in mid-teens, of WW2, specifically the Pacific sub war, and related. No real experience :O:
Adding it up on my fingers....37yrs ago I was introduced to Gato, while just learning Dos on Apples in CC. Guess I might have spent 75% (at least!!) of computer lab time, playing Gato. Higher education was wasted on me in some respects-LOL
Found Silent Service, then SSII on a 286. Thrilled!! Life went on,then ran into Red Storm Rising. Played that on occasions over the years. Interesting. Had just finished Clear the Bridge and Sink them All (1st kindle....) and started wondering if there were any newer Sims out there. Then I found SubSim :yeah: That was in late May. Month later, started SH4. Its been a slow process.

Do have a life, but winter quickly approaches. I'll be around :arrgh!:
