Yellow triangle?

It could be a strange title but what I mean is when you select a target ship a yellow or in some cases red shows, you can then fire torpedoes and often get a hit. I just cant get used to manual targeting, and not through lack of trying.:k_confused:
I know it sounds a bit like cheating but I was used to doing it that way a few years ago.
I was using TWoS mod at that time as I am now.
So my question is is there a way to get my lock triangle back.

If a targets, behind you at you 180... & you have 1 of the 4 tubes in the forward torp room selected... then you'll get a red triangle, on lock on of that target.


Iirc, the triangles, relate to how good of a chance it is for the torp/tue you have selected at that time... of getting a hit.

Red = Bad

Yellow = Ehhh... 50/50'ish

Green = Near 100%


Keep in mind, that depending on the mod set, is how bad you'll have issues with 'dud' torpedo's... & that rate of dud factor, varies from 1 mod set or mod, as the case may be, that you use in game through JSGME.

What I am looking for is the mod that's compatible with TWoS and give me my triangles back.

Sorry to be a pain but where can I find game settings, I have been through the PY files and cant see ManualTargetingSystem.
also when in map view when I click the first icon I get this

There is another icon in the small map lower left of the screen that give a similar blank sheet I can tick the box's but have no idea what they mean.

I would appreciate any help you can give

Has been a bit, since I've ran SH5 & TWoS, of late... been busy, being a crash test dummy with SH3 & 4... so, I haven't really kept up, all that much with 5.
