It's april, 1943 out of Bergen with the 11th- can the snorkel be fitted to the typ VIIB? I've run the whole campain up to here in one.

When does the XXI become available?

VIIB was never equipped with a snorkel. In the game, you must have enough merit in 1944 to upgrade to type XXI.

So maybe I should just keep on in the B, and wait another year for the 21

Type IXB and C boats can be fitted with the snorkel also.
