initial crew

Hello,
can anyone help me on how to change the starting number of the crew?
I want to reduce it.
I know I can change the maximum and minimum number on basic.cfg but when I start a campaign I have too many WOs and sailors.
Which file should I edit?

When you first start the campaign, before the first patrol, you should not change anything about your ship. Not in upgrades to the ship, not in crew. As doing so might mess up the renown rewards you might get in it.

I don't know the answer to your particular problem. Never heard of getting too many crew.

In crew_config_(type)1.cfg , 2 and 3, change the value to -1 for whoever you want to fire

NrComp = 0
NrComp = -1
