Just for fun, I thought, I only install the Uboat missions part. To my utter surprise, SH4 turned out to work perfectly! I was able to load my savegames just fine... Remember: I didn't install Silent Hunter IV!

Can someone tell me in plain English, please without abbreviations, how that is possible?

Am, guessing here... that you have access to both v1.4 & v1.5 of the Steam copies of SH4... :hmmm: Yes.???

If that, is the case... or even if just v1.5, alone... then it'd be understandable that you would NOT need v1.4 SH4, in order to install & run SH4 Uboat Missions.


Since, v1.5, is complete... in its own right.

Indeed, somewhere else on my disk I had sh4 v.1.5 installed!

I still hjave my DVD from when SH4 was 1st released!
Bought it the very day it went public in the USA.
Also have the Uboats add on when it first came out!

Then bought the 1.5 special edition when it came out!

Them, all you need doing, is... to run & set up that v1.5, no need for running v1.4 (or some have reported seeing v1.3 after installing from Steam... don't know why cause I know when I ran v1.4 it said v1.4 when I ran it after install... :06: :doh: :o :hmmm:

No idea why others see that any different than I am. *shrug* so, am at a complete loss on that. :hmmm:

Any who... just run the v1.5 copy... & install... &... enjoy.
