Yup, the infamous F-104G "Starfighter" - here as the Marineflieger-version. The Widowmaker, the Flying Coffin. The Luftwaffe and the Marine lost a total of 292 Starfighters out of 916 procured, with 116 pilots killed from 1961 to 1989.

On 28 May 1905, Otowa and Niitaka intercepted the cruiser Svetlana which had been heavily damaged the day before and was attempting to escape towards Korea together with a destroyer. Otowa was hit by Svetlana's stern guns, killing one officer and four sailors, and injuring 23 others before the Russian cruiser sank.
