EXACTLY! I knew you'd get it! Over 2 U :Kaleun_Salute:https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f1/Bundesarchiv_Bild_183-54953-0004%2C_Flugzeugwerk_Dresden%2C_Flugzeug_152.jpg The Baade 152 also known as Dresden 152, VL-DDR 152 or simply 152, was a post-war airliner designed and manufactured by East German aircraft company VEB Flugzeugwerke Dresden. The aircraft was named after German aeronautical engineer Brunolf Baade, the principal designer involved in the programme. It had the distinction of being the first jet airliner to be developed in Germany.
The Baade 152 represents the final development in the Junkers aircraft family which ended with the "development planes" (Entwicklungsflugzeug – EF). Its development drew upon the OKB-1 150, an aborted bomber that was developed in the Soviet Union with assistance from captured German scientists. The Baade 152's basic configuration shares many similarities, including shape, size, wing-area, landing gear configuration, empty weight, range, altitude, speed, power per engine, and double-engine cowling arrangement with the American-built Boeing B-47 Stratojet, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baade_152 https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/2/25/Deutsche-lufthansa-152.jpg/1280px-Deutsche-lufthansa-152.jpg

Oh YES :D
The predecessor of the asymmetrical BV 141.
The nose of this early prototype sure was misleading ..
https://i.imgur.com/KlsyEH1l.jpg
Its handling was astonishingly good, it behaved well, easy to start and land, even easy to get out of a spin, but refused due to the weak engine. The proposed BMW engine used in the FW 190 was needed for the latter, so it was not available. Despite the strange looks it was or would have been a formidable recconnaissance plane, but the Focke Wulf 189 was then preferred for this role.

Although it is also designated as a Sukhoi SU-14 and Illyushin II-20 depending on what site you visit.

Back shortly with something.
It looks to me as though the cockpit was deliberately positioned above the engine so as to protect the pilot. I know that it also had cannons which could be depressed to strafe ground targets whilst remaining in level flight

Nothing as speedy or dashing.

/\ can't be; the John W. Brown like the other Liberty ship, Jeremiah O'brian at Fisherman's Wharf, SF, is a "museum ship' which Jimbuna has heretofore said the OP is not. Moreover, Liberties pack 6" cannons, considerably heavier than the 40mm already discussed...:hmmm:

gets me: USAS American Mariner: also nicknamed Hannibal after an old target vessel...currently scuttled but visible in Cheasapeake Bay..? Used as target practice. Originally laid down as the Liberty SS George Calvert, it has retained its present name under both subsequent 'owners', the US ARMY and Marine Transportation Service. https://bloximages.chicago2.vip.townnews.com/dcmilitary.com/content/tncms/assets/v3/editorial/d/d0/dd03d8ed-a115-524a-9ab9-1a0e2f9f339a/593efe046ad5d.image.jpg?resize=1396%2C924 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USAS_American_MarinerThe hull was used for target practice by naval aviators flying out of Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland, until at least 1971. Her hull is still visible in the Chesapeake Bay, at 38°02′25″N 76°09′17″W, roughly midway between Point Lookout and Smith Island. She appears to have been the only ship to have served in the U.S. Coast Guard, the U.S. Army, the U.S. Air Force, and the U.S. Navy after being built for service with the United States Merchant Marine.

Never new they had such a heavy armament (a cruiser gun, after all). I've always thought they had something like 76mm or 100mm (3" / 4"), which were sufficient against submarines as well.
