Thanks Jimbuna for the direct route to the "promised land"; I immediately literally Googled: "helicopters similar to Seibel S4 skyhawk" and the first one up was the Cessna CH 1 Skyhook! I'll have something shortly after I detach from my post-TIA apnea home test kit.:O: :shucks:

"Sejauh ini kita tahu jika palung Mariana adalah palung yang miliki titik terdalam di dunia dengan jarak sejauh sekitar 11 kilometer dari permukaan. Namun, sepertinya predikat tersebut bisa dipinggirkan lebih dahulu setelah melihat apa yang ditemukan di barat Rusia ini."
https://www.mediariau.com/berita/melebihi-palung-ini-dia-lubang-terdalam-yang-pernah-digali-manusia

The Kola Superdeep Borehole.
Catfish
02-22-23, 02:35 PM
Yes, this is the Kola borehole. The plug has deteriorated since last time i saw this.. usually you fill an abandoned borehole to prevent rising gases or fluids to poison the layers bearing phreatic water and so on. But maybe they planned to make future researches with probes.. the surroundings do not look like it though.
Still, this i the deepest hole ever drilled by mankind, and it was Russia that did it.
@Eichhörnchen hey no problem, also i think i somehow screwed up posing the question :haha:

As I see it I lead Jim to the promise land and he gave the exact title:

Had thought of the BB at first, an american friend helped restore a "Challenger" (4-6-6-4) some time ago and the Union Pacific calendar of 2022 had a "Big Boy" on the cover, but the cylinder somehow looked different (or so i thought).. but the spring in the background then gave it away :)
Ok.. what is this, or better what is it used for?

...the most intriguing part is that Minnapolis, Minnesota also uses the method! I grew up along Minnehaha creek which flows to the Mississippi river but drains from Lake Minnetonka and was considered polluted- mostly from agricultural runoff mingled with bovine scatalologic detritus and bad rural septic systems; we avoided swimming in it altogether...thank god for Hamm's!:Kaleun_Cheers:

Sorry Glynn but I'm not sure what that means, trains not really being my thing.
It means that the distance between the two rails of a track is less than the standard gauge (1435mm / 4ft 8.5 in).
Catfish

I am a bit confused, is it riding in real size on narrow-gauge tracks, or is it a small scale (like 1:24 or such) model driven by steam.
E.g. in England there are small tracks with small scale model locomotives running on them, with wagons that can accommodate passengers.
Like this:
