I thought he did a good job in the roles that he played.

Rest in Peace.

American actor William Hurt had been diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer in May 2018, but his son's statement did not specify whether the disease contributed to Hurt's passing. RIP

A great actor.

I always liked William Hurt. He was an actor of my generation, only a few years older than me and he was good in everything he did.

I first saw him in the "Big Chill" in 1983 which I saw at the Cinema with my then girlfriend.

Oddly enough, my wife saw the announcement on twitter last night as we were seeing him on TV in a scene from "Goliath" in another wonderfully quirky performance.

RIP Sir.
