OM dark waters is pretty damn awesome. KSD is crashing silly for me. Can't even finish a patrol to add any patches it says to finish before patching. ANy pointers for KSD success?

To begin with... which KSD are you rolling with...
The original version, or the Ace Edition version..??? :hmmm:
That'd be a big help knowing that info... & if it is, indeed... the Ace edition, it'd be of more help, to post there, rather than here on a separate thread, just saying... :hmmm: :shucks:

Also, of import... you are... using either a 4GB patch or LAA with it, when running it... I trust...:hmmm: :hmmm: :hmmm:

Ace edition and yes laa of course. Win7pro x64. I'm thrilled with both mods, but KSD has random CTD for me, while OM works great, no problems. No mods activated in JSGME. Just the standard install of Ace edition.

Hmm... Ok. What time bell are you operating in... meaning what's the date of your career start point.???
:hmmm:
I haven't had any issues with "CTD'ing", though... that could well be, that I am still in the early formative years of the war, still... see a la '39... the latter end... yet, the beginning of the war.

Do you have separate installs and Save folders for the two mods?

Do you have separate installs and Save folders for the two mods? The KSD installs itself all inclusive which was quite different, I had a clean install of SH4 waiting to install it but it just installs itself, completely. But yes I use separate installs for each mod, separate save folders via multish4 1.5 , LAA and JSGME.
I found it completely unusual that KSD is a complete game by itself.

Hmmmm.... weird, as Mine is also a start from just prior to war, as well... yet, as I mentioned... have not ran into any... CTD's. :hmmm:
I've cleared 3 objectives, awaiting completion of the 4th, then am going to make for base... to end that patrol.
Since it is now into, mid-Sept., of '39... I figure by the time I hit the docks... it'll be likely 1st, maybe 2nd week of Oct., by the time I end My 1st patrol. Am based out of Kiel, in a Type VII-B, iirc. Was gonna go with being out of Wilhelmshaven, but.. the only Uboat option for there, is in a VII-A &... a IXA (I think it was.. an A variant), which... am not enthused with... I like the option of being able to reload the aft tube... & the dive time with the IX, is way loads slower, that the VII's. :yep:
The having more torps to use to reload with, was a nice add in for the IX's, as was the serious cruise ability, too, having long sea legs... but... the down side was in their getting submerged capability... which, is their Achille's heel.
So... it made choosing to go with the VII, make more sense.
