I have installed this on the computer! :arrgh!: How does it compare to Gary's Version? I'm running it with Defend Reloaded!

Wow, that's going back.


As far a I know the only differences are that it is free (or it was) and that it ran natively in Windows instead of needing a DOS box.

Well it refused to run in Windows and Windows said it MS-Dos App! So I am assuming I downloaded the Original game. Matrix's website said War In the Pacific ME was Discontinued! :arrgh!:

This is long ago, so forgive me if my memory fails.... but way back when Gary Grigsby teamed up with Matrix they made Pacific War free and Windows to I suppose draw Grigsby fans to the platform. The Matrix Edition was converted to Windows. But maybe that's no longer the case?


I'd suggest one of the 'newer' titles like War in the East (my favorite) or War in the Pacific/West.

We are getting mixed up a bit. The game you opened the thread with is Pacific War, which is a different game than War in the Pacific. I don't think there was ever a War in the Pacific Matrix Edition.
