Hi,

returning to SH5 after a long break and have a couple of issues.

I've got the DVD version which I have installed. I've then downloaded Ubisoft Connect which allows me to play the game and has my key registered to my account.

I don't see a play option for SH5, only a blue update bar. But when I press this the game starts up.

Now. I've installed the TWOS 2.2 and run through the instructions and apart from some errors about different versions than expected eg on the cameramanager.act, everything goes ok (as far as I am aware). When my game starts I see the splash screen, then the black screen which is expected and then my save games sync and I'm in to the main menu. All good so far.

The issues I have are:

I see v1.0.5 in the top right of the screen. I was expecting 2.2
When I click on tutorials I get an empty box open on the right and no tutorials
Most importantly, if I click on Museum or New campaign and then start. My game just closes down. No error, nothing.

Obv I've searched the forum but have not found anything yet.

Thanks for your help.

It's certainly been a while! Good to see you as well.

Ok,

I had failed to upgrade SH5 using gu.exe in the GameUpdater folder. So now I can run the game and start a campaign but I'm still seeing annoying crashes where the game just shuts down. Usually when clicking a button.

Did you completely blow away your SH5 install, do a "fresh" re-install of it, then the update and then install TWoS a-new? :salute:

No.

I've just read that in another thread so will start again from scratch.

Install from DVD
Upgrade using gu.exe
THEN install TWOS.

After that I can see what issues I have if any.

Thanks.

All sorted now. Thank you.

It was the manual upgrade that caught me out as I thought I saw UbiConnect upgrading the game but it hadn't.

Happy days.
