Having some issues learning manual targeting with ARB WSGUI mod and GWX from the notepad....
I can't tell if this is a bug, something I missed in the mod install, or just that manual targeting is completely new to me (SH3 newbie - trying to learn so if I miss it's on me, not the RNG).
Target ID: tick to ID a ship in the rec manual often doesn't recognise clicks. After using auto lock, I can change between ship types as normal.
Range: can't highlight or select. Height measuring range tools in tutorials don't show up.
AOB: highlights like a hyperlink, but can't select.
Speed: can't highlight or select.
I also can't access the ring tool around scope (RAOBF?) - is there a hotkey for this? Disks do drop down from the top bar inconsistently.
Mod list:
4Gb patch tool used
ARB Wide Gui 1920x 1080
ARB Wide Gui 1920x 1080 No nudity
TychoSh3Patch_v3
JSGME v2.2.0.120
GWX3.0
SH-5 Water for SH3 Foam for LSH
SH-5 Water for SH3 Ultimate v10 16km
SH3 Commander
HSIE (V16B1)

I don't use ARB but you'll need to install the exact mod install order you have too.
I.e., JSGME and Commander aren't mods, no need to list them and GWX is a standalone install/doesn't use nor need JSGME so it doesn't need to be listed either.
Also, H.sie's patch already has a 4gb patch by default; you don't need the other.

Maybe a realism settings issue? Need to have manual targeting enabled to use many of the features. Attack discs and things drop down from the top only when you have specific officer icons selected in the lower left.

After much trawling through this forum and 2 clean installs yesterday I think we're good!
Not 100% sure what went wrong - second attempt had an odd resolution lock and the double map issue many people have experienced.
Possible causes:
Missed the ARB 3.1 hotfix
May have accidently installed another Ahnenerbe GUI mod in parallel
Missed the Tycho patch, or downloaded a bad version
Missed the H.sie (V16B1) supplement step
GWX Realism settings don't appear in the Naval Academy - start a career first to configure these then return.
If you're having a similar issue, try these first. And follow the mod install instructions in detail.
Also the ARB 'Adaptation for English and Dutch' only fixes flotilla details, it doesn't translate the GUI. It looks like this can be easily updated in the en_menu.txt file.
Also know that you need to apply a config file patch to SH3 Commander to work in combination with GWX3. May be what you downloaded already has that incorporated. Better be sure and verify if it is included. I am not fully up to speed with the current releases of mods. It used to be a zip file containing files and folders that need to be extracted to the SH3 Commander install folder, NOT the GWX3 install itself. It may also exist as a self extracting executable.
It probably does not make a difference for your manual targeting issues, but without that it will cause problems in your campaign in the long run.
