Hi ladies and gentlemen,
I recently bought Silent Hunter 4 and have been running a tour service between Honshu and Pearl Harbour ever since. I have sunk about 50 tonnes of rival tour operators boats as competition in the area is fierce.
Obviously this is an older game with a few quirks but that's ok, I enjoy playing it thoroughly. I am playing the standard version but will definitely take advantage of some mods later on down the track.
I am a near 50 year old man, born in Australia but moved to Germany about 10 years ago so I feel I am well prepared for a game that's hard to learn and reasonably unforgiving of mistakes.
You have a very impressive site here and I look forward to learning and participating in the future.
I am not a gaming expert nor do I have much Naval experience, I did shoot 80 mm mortars from the deck of an Aussie navy tinnie about 30 years ago, so I have a lot to learn before I ramp the realism up.
Cheers
EC
