View Full Version : Officer speech not working after pressing command

Hi there, i'm having issues with my watch officer when selecting spot nearest vessel not saying the command out in German, the command works (I get the distance and bearing readout with message) but no speech. Same thing with my weapon officer when I select him to identify or ask for torpedo data information, the command works but no speech with it. I wonder if this is a glitch and if others have experienced that and would know what the cause would be?

I'm on fresh install of latest Onealex compilation mod 1.51 and with new career playing as VIIB as 7th flotilla Sept 40'. If anyone has knowledge on this bug/glitch that takes the speech away then let me know. First time i've noticed this happening and Alex said he never touched any of the sound files for speech or commands. I read something up on this article that may be the cause and i do change TC values but haven't had issues with the voices until now and i've always changed the TC values before with no issues - https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=147553

See if there is a file called "solution ready" in the data / sound / speech / for example folder 1, in connection with torpedo shooting, for others i do not know

If there is no such file, copy the file from GWX and paste it in the nine folders

Yea they're there https://i.gyazo.com/108dbf20842514d8c30725777b0a09e2.png and they wouldn't be gone because Alex said he never touched speech files from the latest fixes he released.

Open one of the files via winamp and see if anything will be heard

I already did and they all work correctly just for some reason not being activated in the game, we're looking at the wrong area as none of those files were changed, problem must be caused from elsewhere.

In general, some of the sound files are in the library,pump.dat but those from where they are commanded dont know,but as you said, the reason is probably somewhere else,
probably something in the commands
