If I have a second SH4 install, how do I get JSGME to point to that install so I can install mods? When I run the app it just points to the first install of SH4.
Thanks.

If you're trying to mod more than 1 copy of SH4... each copy MUST have its OWN JSGME in the SH's copy folder. This is how it knows which SH4 it's dealing with.

This also applies to using MultiSH4, as well... :yep:

This also applies to LAA or Large Address Aware, as well... (you only need to download/install LAA once & done... only have to point it where your games .exe is, check the box to assign it to have 4 GB's RAM & click accept/apply & done) the 4GB patch, has to be run on each copy of SH4 you have.

Hope this info helps... :shucks: :yep:

like MM said, be sure that the second SH4 install has its own copy of JSGME in the SH4 folder. when you copy it, DO NOT copy the jsgme.ini file. that will be created when you run JSGME the first time from the new folder.

Not really. One JSGME install is enough to handle any game you use it for in your computer.

You just have to copy/paste the JSGME shortcut to your new SH4 folder, and in its properties set it to point to that new folder

The shortcut doesn't need to be in the SH4 folder either. Any place will start it just fine. As long as the Start In: textbox contains the path to the desired SH4 install folder.

English example (for my SH3) with the shortcut on my desktop:

(JSGME application is installed outside of my SH3 or SH4 install folder: As you can see in c:\Games\JSGME)

I put jsgme in each copy of the game and use multish4 in each copy pointing to a different save folder so the saves don't get messed up. By default all your saves will go to the same place, which you don't want.
