View Full Version : What happens if I turn down the opportunity for a new boat?

Just returned from a fruitful patrol on my Porpoise class (USS Pollack), managed to bag me an Ise-class BB. I was offered a new command (which turned out to be a Gato class) BUT my next patrol had me starting in Pearl, with an objective to recon the harbour at Bandar Seri Begawan! That's a really long haul even for a Gato.

So what happens if I turn down the offer? Will I get another offer after my next patrol?

IF you have additional, successful patrols, you will be offered another upgrade. probably minimum of three additional, successful patrols, prior to the next offer.

Just re-read your post and thought of something additional. you may find that accepting the Gato based at Pearl is only one step in the process. you may be able to transfer back to Brisbane either immediately or very early in 1943. just a thought.

Wouldn't it let you transfer to a closer BO?

No transfer possible. I'll have to finish this patrol first.

Interesting. Must be an element of accepting the new command (which makes sense if you think about it - a new boat gets its new skipper and they both depart PH. Guess its lucky you aren't departing from the West coast). :salute:
