Mission areas question

Hello, I'm approaching the date for the invasion of Norway missions, and I've realized something. I can't choose the area as my objective beforehand because the objective wouldn't be activated yet. I could time my end of patrol to be able to choose Op. Wesernburung from day 1, but it only lasts like 20 days so I'd still miss it just by being at port. How can I get to play it at all? Can I choose a mission while at sea?

Operation Weserubung
20/03/40 - 11/04/40
When completing a patrol on the eve of the start of Operation Weserubung, save and exit the game before entering the base. Edit the file C: \ Ubisoft \ Silent Hunter 5 \ KSDCommander.xml and select the required number of DaysInBase.

Launch the game via KSDCommander.exe. Load your save and go to the base. If there is no mission for Operation Weserubung yet, you can simply skip the patrol. you can always pick up the DaysInBase parameter to start from the first day of the operation.

Another question that now comes to my mind, the mission I received in regards to Op. Weserubung was to insert a group of comandoes. I've completed that mission, but I haven't received any message telling me to return to base or giving me another objective. It's 29th of March, should I expect to receive another mission later down the line? I know the patrol missions are chained together in an inmediate manner, but I don't know if other kinds of missions will be followed by other missions down the line. Can I request a new mission while at sea?

AFAIK, it is impossible to request a new mission while at sea.
