USS Silversides Deep Submergence Certificate (photos)

While I was on vacation, visited with a friend of mine who showed me this, he is and older guy and apparently has had this for years, said it was authenticated. Does appear authentic, matches the timeline of Silversides, and the frame is vintage as well.

Look at the names, Burlingame, Davenport, Bienia, Selby, those names have been mentioned many times in various books, documentaries etc. about Silversides and US subs in WW II. Quite the treasure. Says he purchased it at an estate sale years ago. Pretty cool, figured everyone would enjoy.

Yes, an estate sale. One would think family or friends would have it but you never know, some people have no family left for whatever reason.
