Hi i want to start the u boat campaign but i d like to know if you will get the Type XXI Submarine after a while because i ve seen it in the Museum?

Why, in God's name, would you want with a Type XXI uboat for..??? :doh: :o :06:

The only advantage that sub had, was being able to stay submerged for a long time... until the crew needed fresh air, to live. As best as I recall, at any rate. Torp's were limited worse than the Type II's... & did not carry reserve torp's that the crew could reload with... once the fish were fired... it was automatically... back to port.

Now, the Type XXIII, was a much better option. It did carry reloads, & had the same long submergence capability of the XXI.

Just to be clear here.. NOT denigrating your interest in it, just asking... :yep:

depending on the base you choose for your career you could get a XXI in 1944.
there should be a document in a support folder that shows the matrix of bases vs boat-types. check it out.

ok, i checked out the DW documentation and there is no matrix. i know i saw one but am not sure where it went.

to your question....
there are two paths to a Type XXI.
Flotilla 11 - Bergen. XXI is available 12/15/44.
Flotilla 17 - Gotenhafen. aka 24 Flot. XXI is available 9/1/44.

the boat availability is one factor. your performance must rate an upgrade.
