When trying out some new textures, specifically for the IX-B boat, the whole conning tower just stays as the default texture no matter the tweaking I do
Anyone know the names of all the IX-B textures so I can find them easier?
I'm just no good at this it seems :k_confused:

Conning_9_01.TGA
Conning_9_02.TGA
Conning_9_03.TGA
HTC.TGA
mask_type9.TGA
NSS_Uboat9b.TGA
Propeller_TT.TGA
Slot_SNK.TGA
strong_hull.TGA

That helps for sure, but the whole conning tower just stays as the default textures still even if I copy over the mod files

Once you modify the TGA files, you must enable them via JSGME.
For example create the following (all are folders):
My New Skin/Data/Textures/TNormal/tex
Place your new TGA files in the last folder (tex), then copy all the "My New Skin" folder to your MODS folder and enable it. It should work
:salute:
BTW, what mod or Super mod are you using? Files vary in names and sometimes are different from one super mod to another :hmmm:

Then note that the names of the files can be very different. The other reason that your skins don't show could be that they need to be imported into the DAT file.
I don't have that problem with Onealex mod

Speaking of the Onealex mod
I'm trying it now, it needs to be extracted into the actual SH3 install location correct? I've heard it crashes if you dont
