Starting a career in September 1939, Type IIA, Wilhelmshaven, Transferred to Lorient in a Type VIIC in 1940, to a Type IXB in '42, then to Bergen in a Type IXD/2 at the end of 1943. The farthest I've gotten in the game is March of 1944, killed on my first patrol out of Bergen.

Running LSH3 2020 with Ahnenerbe WideGui 1920 x 1080 Final for LSH3 2020 and Fifi Enhancements.

Who here has begun a career in 1939 and survived until the end of the war?

Be honest now...

I've made it right to the bitter end with Doenitz sending his final message about his brave U-boat men in May/45.

Started with a type II, then Type IIV to Type IX (through drumbeat and the Caribbean), then cheated a did an edit to get some renown and a Type XXIII to the end.

I;m figuring withe my experience won't cheat at all next time and see how far that gets me, aiming for May/45

Made it to the end of the war a few times in the vanilla version lol. Since I got GXW last year though the furthest i have got is Febuary 1944. Type VIIB-Type IXC-Type IXD2. I just couldnt resist a passing convoy in shallow waters off the north coast of Australia:o:hmmm: Ah well..

I've survived two or three times from '39 to end of war, but always by getting a IXD2 in '43 and transferring to Panang and being very cautious while in the Pacific. (ie avoiding convoys unless circumstances allow long range shots).

Otherwise I get to meet Davy Jones in his locker in '44 or early '45.
