View Full Version : QUESTION: Special abilities, Safe Communications

Hello all, is there a parameter somewhere I can change to have the radio man have the safe communications ability last longer? It basicallly should be part of his training to send each communication safely. Kriegsmarine radio operators as well as the staff never realized fully that their codes were cracked. So I do not understand this special ability for the Radio guy. (Ability is at level 3 at the moment)

Any leads welcome!!

Another Question I have is about the special ability reveal hidden enemies and total reveal of the sound guy.

Am I correct that these abilities have no use whatsoever in TWOS with real navigation because map contacts as well as navmap contacts are turned off and the sound guy does not give more info via the message box/audio?

what version of TWoS are you using special ability reveal hidden enemies and total reveal of the sound guy are not even in the newer version of TWoS

Interesting that what I thought were hardcoded icons are removed from the newest TWOS installment....

i know you might not want to lose your save game and that depends what version you are using but you are missing out on a lot of improvements but here from the newer update

That looks really cool!

It is not so much about the savegames as much as that I have basically played this campaign for years because I play in realtime for the most part. (Ie, rarely using Tc above 1...) And it would be a pity to see all those results vanish and having to start all over again hahahaha. But you are right. I probably am missing out on a lot of good stuff. ;-)

cool you should be able to update and keep your save game but i will agree with you the safe comm should last longer or be remove

Yes, it is a bit silly with the cost and cooldown mode .

I feel the same about overcharging and warning the torpedos. All things these sailors were trained in and did on a regular basis.

good thing is the overcharging and preheating been took out in the latest version

Well I still would have liked that option since it did happen in real life. Just without cost to morale or cooldown.

Same goes for the radioman and his safe communications.
