Awesome images of a WWII Urbex adventure! This is really Urban Exploration at its finest. The author managed to reach AND scale Knock John Tower - the old UK Maunsell Navy Fort designed to attack bombers & German E-Boats.

If you play GWX for Silent Hunter 3 you may have seen these structures, along with the "War of the Worlds" Army Maunsell forts - I think Privateer modded them in. Knock John is a lot less popular than the other forts and almost impossible to get into - no ladder up, etc.

These guys managed it with Paracord and a cheap Chinese crossbow. Like Batman scaling a skyscraper in Gotham with his rope gun.:haha:

Not sure this can be recommended to our UK subsimmers.. :D Technically they are probably trespassing - and the route is extremely dangerous for small craft - people have drowned trying to reach the forts. But the view is spectacular. Tons of original WWII contraptions are still left. The pretty wartime pin-up girls still on the walls are a nice touch. lol.

Great find but sadly now better remembered in the UK as the former location of a pirate radio station.

The fort is actually privately owned and is known as the principality of sealand (her real name is the roughs fort), the British Government wants nothing to do with the fort.

It has been in and out of the news over the years, probably the most famous episode was when armed dutch and german men stormed the tower in 1978

Wow that's the same structure? Well huh. I thought Sealand was further out in the north sea.
