It comes as earlier today an Indian MP caused outrage after she claimed that she is protected from coronavirus because she drinks cow urine every day. Pragya Thakur, a controversial MP from Narendra Modi's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), also claimed that the urine can cure lung infections caused by the virus.
Her bizarre comments come just days after Indian doctors urged people not to cover themselves in cow dung and urine as a treatment for Covid, saying it risks spreading the disease faster.

Which makes me wonder...we have taken a huge leap in technology, but when it comes to our mentality and our psychology...we are still in the middle age.

My sister and her husband had been living in India for a few years. Apparently it’s a huge issue over there. The current (almost extreme-ist) Hindu govt is doing little to discourage it, and in many cases the exact opposite.

U ol' camper! Her bier almost became a [B]pyre...such is the nature of four letter words. Something similar happened at a large S.F. rest home where my graveshift security duties also entailed assisting the funeral parlor pickup man with putting the deceased into the gurney zipper-bag for transport. While putting one into the bag wrapped, solely in saran-wrap, the other awaiting transport, similarly clad on the repository slab suddenly moved! The poor 'bagman' was freaking out. I calmly slit open the saran wrap to allow for respiration; then fetched the furious RN on duty who had deemed the victim suitable for wrapping. The victim passed for keeps a few hours later. The next day the facility's chief administrator personally requested I not relate this medical lapse faux pas to anyone!:O::oops::shucks:
