I previously had Yandex installed on my laptop and is a pain so I removed it and tried downloading Adobe Reader. Seems the only allowable version is Adobe Reader DC so I tried installing it and get a message that a newer version is already installed.
I checked Add/Remove Programs but there is no Acrobat files in there at all, if I double click a pdf file it asks for a program to open it with, but nothing there?
Anyone have any ideas what to do or where to look? :hmmm:
Thanks.

This video/mod/update was done on windows 8 and is nothing like windows 7 (32bit), I did try working around it by ticking "show hidden files" but the file in the "program files" folder does not exist.
It seems that it is a C runtime error according to the Adobe reader page:

https://helpx.adobe.com/au/acrobat/kb/error-1722--there-is-a-problem-with-this-windows-installer-packa.html
goes to:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/update-for-universal-c-runtime-in-windows-c0514201-7fe6-95a3-b0a5-287930f3560c

Tried this but the file will not run so I'm blowed if I know what to do now.:hmmm:

Maybe the best solution is an alternative reader. (free) If anyone knows a good one please suggest it, :yep: thanks.

Use a "Cleaner" to get rid of registry entry and some junk files to avoid "any kind of problem". After that take down Reader from trust source "and NOT 3 part links, if that the case.
