I just got a note from our friend Clay,

start treatments (radiation) within the next few weeks, and will be treated Monday thru Friday for 6.5 weeks.
I have dropped 21 pounds in weight over the last month. Considering my age of 80, I am now at recommended weight for my height & age.

I'm asking you to make a post wishing him luck, hopefully the treatments will arrest his illness.

Hi Folks,
Finished up all my radiation treatments today and now I am back home after a long 8 weeks in temporary housing.
In the follow up orders I am to have a new "pet" scan on August 23rd to see where I am at now with the cancer. My cancer was in the parotid gland on right side of my neck'

Looks like my cancer has returned with surprising aggression, but at least I am still at home and alive. Don't get out except to visit my doctors. I go to my cancer doctor the most, doing requested lab tests, ct/scans etc. The migration went from my RT ear to my lungs. Last scan in October indicated it was in the top nodes of both lungs. I have not given up yet but depression is hard to dismiss even with prescribed meds.

Take care all and I hope you had a "Happy Thanksgiving"

I just got an update, not good news. :-? Clay's cancer has increased in size and his doctors project he may not make it until the end of the year. Clay has been a really great guy and thoughtful SUBSIM member, please keep him in your thoughts.

I would jump in joy the day Cancer is something we read about in the history books. Markus
Yes.

There have been news popping up here and there about erasing cancer, but this was mostly sensational rubbish.
However they began experimenting with mrna vaccines against cancer almost a decade ago, with some promising early results. One of the spin-off results have been the mrna based vaccines against Covid.

As a friend said, "Cancer is an a..hole". I hope Clay gets some stuff that helps.

Skybird
02-21-22, 09:47 AM
There is a new and quite revolutionary cancer paradigm coming in and partly already being accepted by the medical community, but I cannot assess to what degree. To me, after the failed attempts before to explain what cancer is and why it is there, this new paradigm makes an awesome lot of sense. Its about so-called atavism and cancer cells starting to behave as single cellular lifeforms again, not as part of an integrated organ structure. Ifd this is so, it explains why the previous paradigms in explaijng and attacking cancer, were only in parts successful, did not lead to lasting declines in rates of cancer, and in major parts simply failed.

Thats why I am a bit sceptical about mRNA vaccines for cancer. I think they will not become THE one big weapon against cancer, just another tool in an arsenal of tools against some aspects of various cancer types. Also mind you that there are many open questions about mRNA vaccines regarding their technical implementation and the effect of their lipid technology on the long term health status of the body. That long term studies were not initially run with Covid vaccines, is understandable, but we are one year later than 2021 now, and still no new data on these vaccines that are needed for demanded studies have been analysed and published, as should have been expected. That does not help to raise acceptance for them, to put it midly. Authorities also do not push for them, as would be their duty. My red lights slowly start warming up. Not in alarm mode already, but I slowly start to become alerted. Everything has its timings and timetables, and they have clearly exceeded theirs, and significantly by now.

Its probably is a bit inappropriate to discuss this in this thread, so I apologize just in case anyone feels offended, and refer as a closing just to this:

Jason Fung: The Cancer Code. A Revolutionary New Understanding of a Medical Mystery. Harper Collins 2020.

With 1100 ratings at amazon.com, it got a rating of 4.8.
