One of the faults of this game is it’s very hard to judge distance between parallel lines of ships in convoy. The way I’ve done it up til now is target a particular ship via space bar and view it’s highlighted symbol on the map. But as I’m now using real navigation it isn’t an option.
Perspective and the reading of distance is not just things getting smaller. Our main tool for doing this is tones becoming progressively lighter as they recede in space (the classic being ridges of hills). It’s due to the effects of moisture in the air on sight. It’s always there but becomes more obvious in fog or rain.
Is there any way to fine tune this? I mentioned the same thing to the developers of IL2 Sturmovik year’s ago and they implemented it, improving the game.
