Curser response is slow. SH5, Win10.

High, Tempted back after 6 years! Now retired and 70, have time to play again....All works well on all the SH versions except my curser is not very smooth, laggy, when playing SH5. Using Win10. drivers etc all up to date. Any quick cures? too old to buy a new PC for the sake of one game but would like to get it sorted. Perhaps i need to stay with older versions.

same here ostard, starting a new career and am in the sub pen, not knowing how to proceed. cursor is very laggy. running SH4 with no problems. My rig is alienware m17 r3 so its not the rig.

At least i am not the only one. Using SH4 at moment. Someone might have an answer.

could be a lot of programs running in the background also could be the game settings then some mods are resource hogs you guys could try to lower the shadows setting see if that helps

This fix worked for me. Saw it suggested in another forum post. I was having severe stuttering while panning the view on the bridge. Unplayable. This took care of 95% of the issue.

Check the readme but I believe it's as simple as copying the two files to the Sh5 installation folder.

Looks like my SH5 exe. was using the intergrated video card. set it to use the NVIDIA card and alls well. checked SH4.exe and it had already been set.
