View Full Version : SH5 TWoS Sound Stops Completely

PLEASE DELETE PROBLEM SOLVED (bad set of headphones lol)

Hello,

I've gotten the latest version of SH5 (from ubisoft connect) installed and working with TWoS. Normally all is working well but sometimes the sound will cut out completely, mid game, and not return until the game is closed out and restarted (have to restart twice, first time will only show the loading screen then get stuck on the black screen). This only happens once in a while and not during every play session.

I've searched the forums and google but can't find anybody else who has had this problem. Could it be a corrupted sound file? Seems to have only happened in the boat while near the hydrophone station (not while using it).

Anybody ever run into this issue? Any Ideas on how to fix this?

I'm running Win10 with an AMD R9 280x and the following mods:

TWoS EnV Settings- Brighter Nights
TWoS Remove Map Plastic Cover
TwoS Remove Sub Flags
TWoS Real Navigation

BTW I haven't played any silent hunter in a long time, (first time with SH5) glad to be back and having lots of fun!:ping:

If your still playing sh5, what was the cure. i have been running sh5 for months no problem, but now sounds drops off and not able to bring it back until i re start the game win 11 { upgraded a while ago}

Thanks vanjaat I did read thru that post.
And I have run into needing to change speed to bring back sound les,
My problem was a ext. Usb drive affecting the power on my usb hub , which also has my creative speakers using for power. Needed a type c connection for that drive oops
