Hi!
After a long break I am trying to return to SH4... but it seems I misplaced the Gold edition disc. I do have the original, v1.1 SH4 disc though. Do you maybe know if I can link the install to Steam so I can buy U boat missions DLC? Or am I forced to buy both SH4 and DLC from Steam?

I had my disc long ago and I lost it. Safest bet is just to get both on steam and find a location of honor for your disc, as a reminder of a simpler time. (I still remember getting my dad to drag me out to Wal-Mart so I could get Silent Hunter 4 with the money he gave me for cleaning out the chicken coop :D )

You can use the v1.1 disk with the Ubi "update" to v1.4 (https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=8), but you cannot use a Steam "U-Boat Missions Add-on" with a Ubisoft disk nor UConnect (UPlay) download. They have their own "cross-breed" version and licensing of the game in the "Wolves of the Pacific" download and that same-titled add-on of theirs. Finding a Ubisoft "U-Boat Missions Add-On" title is next to impossible. The Ubisoft download (https://store.ubi.com/upc/us/silent-hunter-wolves-of-the-pacific-gold-edition/56c4948988a7e300458b47fa.html) (US link) is $2.50 at this moment, which is a "Gold Edition" aka: v1.5, and is another consideration. :salute:

I still have my disc, but re-bought SH4 on STEAM for the convenience. It goes on sale regularly. I bought the whole collection: SH3, SH4+U-Boat missions, plus SH5 for can. $15.
