Cybermat47 also did a tweak on it with Japanese Career (https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?p=2164269#post2164269), using the Stock German files. You will need to download keltos's subs as a pre-req. keltos01 and peabody were working on a full career WIP Japanese Campaign (https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?p=942482#post942482), of which I am also involved with, but it is on pause for the time being, while we finish-up on FotRSU and other ongoing projects. I don't have much to do before a "beta" could be released, but as of right now, the file set is a bit of a mess... :roll: :salute:

Any way to get a playable DD or a DE with something that resembles working depth charges,put into the mix, my super fletch that can be found in the PT Campaign I put together has 10 working torpedo tubes with 8 showing she would make a good candidate,, I think the sound room needs some work.

Was it Zel a few years ago (2010??) that used a re-worked torpedo as a depth charge for the surface ships? Who ever it was, had a time of it getting it to sink, but it did work. You just lose a torpedo in the library file. Most everything you attempt to mod though, is a work-around and / or compromise... sigh.

That's why I mentioned the Super Fletch she has 10 firing torpedo tubes and 8 showing on the deck so we wouldn't loose any thing realistly,, but alas I don't have ant ai subs to hunt been reading all the threads on the subject,, apparently I'm missing something,,..the gentle man that did the total war mod ,,I believe that's what is called had some other DDs and DEs playable but need the torpedo load straightened out but they look very nice

I thought the mod was supposed to have quite a few more? Are you saying I need Keltos subs also, they aren't included in the download? It's working great, haven't had one crash but I find I have to put a lot of fish usually into ships(5 into a tanker for example) and wait quite long for them to sink as well the deck gun takes forever! I have all the easy settings on. Thanks for the help and can't wait to try the full Japanese Campaign when finished!

DOOOOOH Disregard that I only get 2 choices!!!!. I didn't notice the scroll down choices when starting it!!!!! LOL Color me a humilated novice seaman.

Funny thing is, in this game you can easily have more success in a single patrol than some entire classes of Japanese subs had! They had some great technology, but just the wrong application of it.

Liking the mod much but I noticed a few things besides ships taking forever to sink usually, none of the merchant convoys I encounter have any escorts. Nor do I get any damage when I get hit by gunfire.
