Hi all,
As you might know the Steam sale is on so I've been thinking about rounding out my Silent Hunter collection and getting SH5.
From what I've seen, The Wolves of Steel mod is pretty much the go-to for playing SH5 in 2020, so I'll be looking at that. As I understand it it adds back in a lot of the realism and gameplay we're used to from SH3 and 4, as well as fixing a lot of the stock bugs.
Over the years I've read all the horror stories about SH5 vanilla, the bugs, the CTD's etc. I know that TWOS fixes a lot of these but I've seen plenty of people saying that a lot of vanilla bugs remain.
In the interests of making a proper informed decision before I hit 'buy' (it's only a few quid but I'm a tight arse!), what vanilla bugs still exist that TWOS wasn't able to fix? Are they game breaking or just the minor annoyances we're all used to from this series?
Also is TWOS generally stable? Does it fix most of the CTD's?
