Does Wolves of Steel still work?

Hi does Wolves of Steel mod still work or has Ubisoft wrecked it? I installed SH5 from disc but got hijacked to Ubisoft site. I made a new install then installed WoS and on starting a new campaign game crashes. I have tried umpteen clean reinstalls, and tried a patch for a new execute file, but to no avail. Am I possibly doing something wrong or am I flogging a dead horse and the mod does not work :wah:

I confirm that all are working you should reread the explanations and do things respecting the steps :Kaleun_Wink:"there is no point in running, you have to leave on time"(Victor Hugo)...

Thanks for the quick confirmation Kal_Maximus. After two days of trying I had just about given up. I will give it a few more tries and try to figure out where I am going wrong. I really thought I had solved it when I found the SH5.exe patch., and it was at that point I pretty much gave up. I must be missing something somewhere. Thanks again.

Same here. All works OK. Download Uplay (or the new "Ubisoft Connect") and install it, do not use the Uplay installed from the disc or direct download.

Thank you both for replying and giving me hope. I got there eventually. The problem appears to have been with the compatibility of the execute file.:)

At the price all the SH games are these days, I would just rebuy them on Steam. I have SH3 and SH4 on disks myself... but it's just easier and less of an hassle to handle.
