View Full Version : SH4 with UBoat missions with FOTRSU crashes under windows 10
Hello,
I am running an installation of SH4 over which I installed UBoat missions and then with the JSGME mod manager installed FOTRSU 1.24 and then 1.26 all on windows 10.
My graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060, and the driver version is 456.71. I have 16GB of memory.
The crash consistently occurs when I am travelling with no nearby activity at 128x time compression. I have tried running the game with and without the Large Address Aware processed executable.
What can I do ?
Thanks

recheck that you have made SH4 non-read-only.
go back and re-enable SH4 for LAA.
re-boot your machine.
try again. display the clock/chronometer as soon as your start your career/mission (you did not say whether you are playing a career or single mission).
now, proceed as you did, noting the passage of time as you increase the TC.
tell us whether the minute hand slowed or stopped just prior to the CTD.
also, tell us the date/time (approx), your approx lat/long, your boat time, and home base.
sounds dumb but we are playing blind-mans-bluff here.

Hello,
I had the executable readonly. I put it read-write and ran the large address program. Since then the game hasn't crashed, I had a merchant come my way, sank it and then proceeded to my patrol area using the same time compression that I was using when the game was crashing. So far so good.
Thanks for the help,
Regards
