Is there a standalone mod that only changes the colour of the distress flare to red?

That would be nice, perhaps green or blue... Never heard a mod that changes the color of the flare, but please let me know if it shows up, my guess it is a matter of code in a certain file... :hmmm:

Distress flare should always be red, isnt it? If it is white it is not distress. Then it is for ilumination like the Starshells in SH3.
I use the "Do it yourself"-method from h.sie like in Post#10 in this thread:
https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=214839
and some more words about how i use it by me in this thread.

You may download it direkt from h.sie Mediafire site:
https://www.mediafire.com/hsie
under Archive, called "Seenot-Leuchtrakete - Do it yourself.rar".
or
it can also be found in s7rikeback's Mod Collection
https://www.mediafire.com/folder/1637p1s855ukz/Silent_Hunter_Mod_Collection
It contains two files for the Library, and the Zones.cfg has to be changed manually like in the accompanying txt-file. Thats it.

Yes, Mediafire react ugly, but "Never look a gift horse in the mouth".
