Tom Hardy has reportedly been cast as the next James Bond to replace Daniel Craig.
Although it has not been officially confirmed, The Vulcan Reporter claims Hardy has been locked into the role since auditioning back in June.
The site said that an official announcement confirming he will play 007 after No Time To Die was due to come in November.
However, they said the announcement may be delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Gee, I'm not sure Hardy is a good choice to play the James Bond character. I don't know what do you think?

I got offered the part when I was 25 (true)... mind you, it was only the Reliance Mutual Insurance Society Sports and Social Club film group
Here's me at that time when I was my mate's Best Man. I fell over just before this picture was taken (he's got it on video) so I guess I was shaken not stirred

From a book like character, I thought that Craig was a good choice for Bond. In the books, Bond was more of a thug, then the pretty boys as portrayed in some of the movies. I just did not agree with the scripts that Craig was given.
I would like to see a reboot of the movies closer to the Fleming Books, but that would never sell these days.

Tom Hardy would be a good choice.
Personally, I think he is too old (43), but at a dinner party on saturday when the topic came up, every woman there said he is very sexy which I guess is the target audience. :03:
Interestingly, all the men thought Sean Connery was the definitive BOND, while most women liked Roger Moore or Pierce Brosnan.
still on same dinner party, I would have thought Henry Cavill would make the perfect Bond, but half the woman thought he looked gay, which I have to say surprised me, but would explain why he is not in the running. Woman never to surprise me, but I guess that is why we put up with them. :arrgh!:

When I read the OP the name Tom Hardy didn't register. Anyway, last evening we watched the Leonardo DiCaprio movie "Inception" and I thought the British guy in it would make a really good James Bond... and guess who it was? Tom Hardy... so yes I agree entirely that he be given the role
Another actor who I'd hope was considered is James Purefoy... he'd have made a great Bond, although Moira says he'd be equally good as the villain. And I'd also suggest Ciaran Hines as a further contender, although he's missed the boat now because of his age; like Connery he is another dark-featured Irishman and he'd have been absolutely perfect in my view
