Op. Weserubung Kills Not Counting

Hello all,

First time subsim player here, forgive me if I make rookie mistakes.
I had issues with the game 'counting' kills for my first few missions, especially the aircraft carrier. I eventually identified the aircraft carrier via card selection and then watched it sink via periscope -- and it counted. So I figured thats what I have to do with everything now. I was only able to identify it though because I had sank it before and looked in the captains log.

Now I need to sink 1 battleship, I just sunk the queen elizabeth twice, but it hasn't counted. I've also sunk several other british ships -- none of them counts towards the 'sink 5 british ships.'

You can see from the area marker that I sank the queen elizabeth in the correct area -- and the log clearly stated it was a queen elizabeth -- yet it doesn't count.

Does anyone know what the exact requirements to 'get a ship to count' are? Please help me out. Am I doing something wrong? Does it have to be sailing east literally into Narvik? (The elizabeth was selling west).

Any insight appreciated. Thanks all!

It has been neary 2 years that I have dived into the ol stock SH5.
I would recommend trying the below to get the ships sunk to count for your mission.
