Getting inaccurate ranges with stadimeter?

Im playing TMO 2.5 with OTC for TMO. When i take a range reading with the stadimeter after identifying and sending the mast height to TDC and look at the attack map the range is so far off, as in way too far. Im bringing the image down until the waterline meets the top of the mast.

Also what is an easy and quick way to get angle on the bow? Calculating speed is fine the rest im having trouble with.

Stadimeter works fine in TMO without OTC. Sometimes little off, which is fine because in real life it was not perfect, but is close enough to get get accurate solution,.

If I recall with OTC, you bring the waterline down to the "red" point marked in the recognition manual. Typically, this is the stack.
