How to adjust reload times of deck gun?

Hello,
I am looking for a way to adjust the reload times of the deck gun. I was searching in the guns.sim-file but there I only see a byte value to change. But I cannot see any content logic of the file. Can anyone advice how to change the fire rates, please?
Please, I am aware that this is possible not realistic...

Yeah, also very nice when your target turns out to be an armed merchant and starts shelling you and you have to run for your life, order the gun crew below deck via the WO, slide down the ladder and crash dive asap....
