Can´t man the deck gun.

I can´t man the deck gun on us submarines there are no crw slots does anyone know how to fix it?

A couple of questions 1) when you click on the deck gun icon the game doesn't put you at that position?
2) the deck gun crew position doesn't display in the crew roster and/or the slots cannot be filled?
3) both?

it sounds as if you are in-port and you upgraded your deck gun or changed the location of your deck gun from for to aft or vice versa.

this is a known issue with the Stock game and none of the mega-mods will fix it.

only two ways to fix the issue:
1. go back to the previous version of the boat prior to making the change and do not make a change to the deck gun.
2. use the work-around to create the crew positions. this solution requires some skill on your part in using Notepad. https://subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=5641&act=down

I had the same problem and followed the instructions to edit the file but simply deleting the characters 'AdditionalRepository' worked for me. :)
