I was playing as a ship and came across a convoy, I or should I say the ship was sinking them one after the other with auto fire of it's guns.
It sank one merchant but instead of going on to the next it kept firing at the last one that was almost submerged, just the tip of it's funnel and mast was sticking up, it was in deep water too but not sinking any further.
I presumed even though it had sunk it wasn't destroyed, my ship continued to fire at it, sometimes hitting it so to speak, could hear the explosions of a hit.
I thought let it carry on till it does finally get destroyed but it went on too long, the rest of the convoy was passing by.
I stopped the auto fire of the guns for a while as I caught the convoy again, as soon as I enabled the deck guns it went straight back to firing on the submerged merchant.
I gave up the attack and moved on till I found another target.
