I love The Frau. We have been together for almost 25 years. But every so often.....

She had purchased some protein shakes.

She needed to get this box open. She thought that the appropriate tool to open the box was

I often wonder about her, but then I realize that she choose me and that explains a lot.

Anyone else have this experience?

Most definitely....about two years ago my wife was preparing the veg for an evening roast dinner in the kitchen. I was upstairs in the man cave and I heard her shriek and call my name. I rushed down stairs and there she was holding the tip of her finger in a tea towel. She had chopped it off whist cutting through a turnip.

I drove like I was trained but no longer given clearance since retirement to the local A&E and fortunately for her the tip of what was cut off wasn't down as far as the tip of the finger bone so she was lucky they could stitch it back on.

Standing across the room from her watching the doctor performing the medical procedure and seeing first hand her reaction is an experience I will never forget.

Guess who cuts the turnip in the house now

You should've put it in a jar of water on the window sill and let it grow back to a normal size finger :D

Helping out a couple during student times when they renovated their new flat, I once surprised the girl using a cordless crewdriver like a hammer, beating onto the head of a screw with the heavy grip that held the heavy battery.

When I asked her why she was doing that, she said that the battery was empty.

Well. Sometimes its better you do not argue, but silenty withdraw and hope you do not get hit by anything on your way out.

DITTO! :haha:

Mine was in the garage so now all the tools that require extra care are stored in a lockable metal cabinet :)

There was no way I was going to touch anything with so much blood on it.....I'd no idea where her finger had been :)

When I fetch my multi-head screwdriver for a job, I remove the screw bit I need from the handle, do the job, replace the bit in the handle, then put away the screwdriver

When my wife fetches my multi-head screwdriver for a job, she removes the screw bit she needs from the handle, does the job, then leaves the screwdriver on the nearest flat surface
