The death of a 12-year-old girl by a stray bullet in Sweden has sparked outrage and reignited debates over its handling of gang-related violence.
The unnamed girl was killed in a drive-by shooting next to a petrol station on Sunday, according to local media.
Police have launched an investigation but are yet to make any arrests.
Officials have vowed to further crack down on violent crime. Incidents involving gangs have risen in recent years.
Police were called to the scene of the shooting, south of Stockholm, in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Details of what happened have not been officially confirmed, but local media outlets reported that the gunmen had been aiming at two members of a criminal gang, and had not intended to shoot the child.

For a long time, Sweden has received people from other countries in what can be called "humanitarian aid"( Huge lot of ppl) from the Third World. In light of this, it must be taken into account that there are and in principle no controls where and how these people come from. Many people do not have passports and in some cases are also wanted for serious crimes in their home country or via Interpol. There are today ways to secure identity for example, DNA or basic medical pieces. The government or to use the slightly harsher word "regime" knows about this since the early 1990s. Even state television and the largest newspapers in the country are constantly systematically obscuring the truth. But today, people are aware of how the very negative spiral that is going on in putting a country into multiculturalism which can be done if it happens gradually, when the words labor immigration came up in the early 1960s. Several parties such as the Social Democrats, the Center Party, the Green Party and the Left Party, in principle "want open borders to everyone who comes from another country, this has become a huge strain on the social structure such as health care, police and the judiciary in general. Simply put, these parties are mainly the Social Democrats dependent on the people who have come here to Sweden ... as the majority live on benefits and do not add anything to the social security that existed in the country before, of course there are people who work and do their part of society. But as this happens systematically, the Social Democrats in particular depend on their votes. When it comes to law enforcement in the country, the police have no problem dealing with ordinary fiddling such as small-scale burglary, cash-in-transit robbery (although the latter does not exist because everyone uses cards when paying). In a higher level regarding more serious crimes, it is "fairly easy" even there. But what has happened and is happening in the last 12 years. Is that the police are under heavy pressure from different parties in government, which constantly gives different messages. The police have had difficulties in recruiting new ones and the salaries are not in proportion to reality. Operational police today do not exist to that extent to meet what is constantly going on and present. Then it's not just about shootings and gang-related violence but also new ones that were previously unknown atrocities such as gang rapes and humiliation robberies ... and is it the native Swede who commits the crimes? Hardly!
In order to be able to stifle what is happening, a very harsh asylum immigration is needed. And ensure the security of the citizen in the first place. It should be said that some person with a certain type of serious crime in their closet is deported for life.
Courts that have been infiltrated by feminists and other loose people need to be replaced with a clear legal thinking and no vagueness, and that the laws should also be stricter today and this applies in general and also includes everyone who lives in the country. The people I know on a level within the Swedish police see the day in a dark and complicated life and this is the real light that prevails in many cities, crime has taken over smaller cities and "no go zone" is standard.
Have a nice day Sweden!
