It is precisely that list why he was knighted.

That he was knighted did not enable him or added to his talent to make the movies on that list. :O: The knighthood means little. The works tell it all. :)
He was much ahead of his time as a director, screenwriter and producer which is clearly seen in several films in the 70's and so on.

I like a lot of prog rock, but I was never big on The Alan Parker Project.:hmmm:
