I was wondering if anywhere is doing a bundle on SH3 and SH4?

At the moment there is the Steam bundle of SH3, SH4, SH4-Uboat and SH5 (£25.99) but I don't particularly want SH5. It looks like we have SH3 (£4.29), SH4 (£8.59) and SH4-Uboat (£4.29).

I have looked at GoG.com but SH3 and SH4 are not listed there, sadly.

well, daniel, that's a tough one.
welcome to subim.:subsim:
i will say one thing: for SH4 buy the 1.5 Uboat Missions (UBM) version and not the earlier version. i say this because all of the great mega mods at Subsum are configured for SH4-UBM.:Kaleun_Salivating:

and when you DO buy it, do not install it at the default folder.
here are some VERY helpful instructions for a FNG.

good luck.:Kaleun_Salute:

For SH4 as adviced by KM you should whatsoever get the U-Boot Missions v. 1.5 upgrade included in the SH4 game, only this one will allow you to improve the game with megamods later which is very important to have an acceptable game to play with a lot of added features.
Then, I think the Steam bundle at 25$ is reasonable, but look if the inclulded SH4 contains the UM 1.5, if yes I would get it, players here have reported that the Steam version works, but let you confirm it by those who have acquired the bundle from Steam. FYI, the single SH4 game offered by Steam DOES include the UM 1.5.

Much as I don't like Steam, it is about the only place left to get the games... and SH5 with TWoS applied makes SH5 almost enjoyable on the Steam version. Unfortunately, you cannot do sober's Bonus Mod on Steam, but alas, TWoS is indeed very nice. It is not SH3, nor is it SH4, but it is a good game nonetheless... So I would go for the bundle. :salute:

I will in a short or medium time release a megamod for SH5 based on v.1.2.0 and TWoS, with the ability to remove all mods from it allowing you to install every mod you want, also TWoS or Sober's mod, this for Steam or any other game provider. Therefore SH5 will soon be playable for all having acquired the game somewhere.

Many thanks for the comments so far.

Steam have SH4 and SH4-UBM available individually (with SH4 as a dependency for SH4-UBM) but no longer sells SH5 on its own. I will have a look at some SH5 modded lets plays to decide whether to get the bundle or stick with the first two as loose games.
