I was surprised to see that no one had posted a thread for Memorial day.

To all those who served and sacrificed much for not only the freedom of their own country but to fight for freedom worldwide.

A heartfelt thank you

Not sure I would use the phrase "happy" memorial day.

^ Good point Platapus. It is a solemn occasion. Not sure how else to phrase it as I remember people wishing my dad a happy memorial day and he of course, served as well.

The Frau wished me a Happy Memorial day. I had to remind her that I was not dead yet. :D
Maybe it was wishful thinking?

But in any case, it is a good day to think about all the things we take for granted that other people, in other countries can't.
